Overview
These Terms of Service govern the use of interpretation services provided by MARPAU International, a company registered in the State of Florida. By requesting or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Services Provided
MARPAU International provides on-demand Spanish-English interpretation services, including over-the-phone interpretation (OPI) and video remote interpretation (VRI), available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Confidentiality
Acceptable Use
Clients agree to use interpretation services for lawful purposes only and to treat all interpreters with respect and professionalism. MARPAU International reserves the right to terminate a session or suspend services in cases of misuse or inappropriate conduct.
Limitation of Liability
MARPAU International acts solely as a communication facilitator and is not responsible for decisions — medical, legal, financial, or otherwise — made by any party during or after a session. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by the Client for the specific session giving rise to the claim.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Florida.

Information We Collect
When you contact us or request services, we may collect:
- Full name and contact information (email, phone number)
- Organization or company name
- Industry sector (e.g., healthcare, legal, insurance)
- Type of interpretation service requested
- Billing information for invoicing purposes
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used exclusively to coordinate and deliver interpretation services, issue invoices, and respond to your inquiries. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
No Session Recording
HIPAA Compliance
For healthcare clients, MARPAU International is committed to HIPAA compliance. All protected health information (PHI) encountered during sessions is treated with the highest level of confidentiality. Business Associate Agreements (BAA) are available upon request for covered entities.
Data Retention & Your Rights
Billing and contact information is retained for 5 years for legal and accounting purposes. You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at info@marpauinternational.com.
Payment Policy
Billing
Services are billed based on usage. Invoices are issued every two weeks and summarize all sessions completed during the billing period. No charges are collected without the Client's explicit approval.
Payment Terms
Late Payments
Invoices not paid within 7 days are subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance. Services may be suspended until the full balance is settled. Written notice will be provided before any suspension takes effect.
Refunds
Due to the real-time nature of interpretation services, refunds are not issued once a session has been delivered. Quality concerns must be reported in writing within 5 business days of the session and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
